2022 GRADING

Gradings (U8 to U14)

NB: Only those players who have registered will be allowed to participate in the grading sessions - no exceptions.

Once registered, players in U8 to U14 age groups will be asked to attend grading sessions to help us allocate players to teams based on appropriate skill level. NB: Based on previous feedback and depending on numbers registered, there will be no grading for U15s upwards and teams in those age groups will be organised separately.

Other Important points to remember:

- A second grading night is scheduled for the majority of age groups. This will only be required if the team cannot be formed after the first grading session. You will be advised at the end of the first grading session if the second session is required.

- Players are required to attend all sessions scheduled for their age group

- All players must wear shin pads and boots

All grading sessions are being held at the synthetic field located at Majors Bay Reserve, Norman Street, Concord

Special note for U8s: This will be the first time your child will go through the grading process at Concord. The result of the grading process may be that your child will not be playing with the same group of children they used to play with in MiniRoos (U5-U7). Please discuss this possibility with your child BEFORE grading so that they may be prepared. The Club will not be accepting any requests to play in the same team as another player(s).

Grading Session Times

Gradings (U15 and older) **

There is no grading for ages U15s upwards as teams in those age groups usually self-organise. If enough players register to form two or more teams, and if organisers of the teams request it, the Club can provide assistance in splitting the players into teams.

If there are issues with the teams self-organising, the Club may request parents and players to meet with Club officials to negotiate how the teams are formed.

Note: the Club does not control how many people register for a particular age group and it is not the Club's responsibility to recruit players for any age group. Players and their families are encouraged to recruit among their contacts. If there are not enough registered players in an age group to form a team, then the team may have to be disbanded and it is up to each individual to arrange registration with another club. The Club may be able to provide assistance with relocating individuals to other clubs on request.

** The exception for season 2021 is that there will grading sessions for U15G/U16G due to the number of players registered - see dates/times listed above
